$140 four-wheel alignment on our Hunter alignment rack. Before-and-after printout included. The best-value service in our shop, and it helps your tires last longer.
Your tires are the only thing connecting your vehicle to the road. When the wheels aren't pointing in exactly the right direction, three things happen: tires wear faster and unevenly, handling gets worse, and fuel economy drops.
Our alignment service is more than just turning a wrench until the numbers look right. Here's what's included:
If we find a worn suspension component during the pre-alignment inspection that prevents us from holding the alignment, we'll show it to you, quote the repair, and let you decide. We won't align a vehicle that can't hold the alignment.
$140 is the flat rate for a four-wheel alignment on a standard passenger vehicle, light truck, or SUV. That includes the pre-alignment inspection, the alignment itself, the before-and-after printout, and steering wheel centering.
Some vehicles run higher: heavy-duty trucks, vehicles with adjustable air suspension, lifted or modified vehicles, and some specialty European cars. We'll quote you when you call.
If the pre-alignment inspection finds a worn part that prevents us from holding the alignment, we'll quote the repair separately. You decide whether to do the work before we proceed with the alignment.
No surprises. The alignment is $140 unless the inspection finds something that needs to be fixed first, and you decide whether to fix it.
If you notice any of these, an alignment will save you money in the long run.
Vehicle drifts to one side on a straight, level road. Classic alignment symptom, easy to test on any quiet road.
One side wears faster than the other, or feathering and cupping in the tread. Tires are paying the price for misalignment.
Steering wheel sits crooked when driving straight. Alignment-induced, and easy to fix.
An alignment is always recommended when you get new tires. Also required after suspension or steering repairs.
Tires are one of the bigger costs of owning a car. Most are rated for somewhere between 50,000 and 70,000 miles if everything's in spec.
A car that's out of alignment will eat through those tires in 20,000 to 30,000 miles, sometimes faster. The math is simple: a $140 alignment can add 20,000+ miles to the life of your tires.
That's the case for alignment in one sentence: tires are expensive, alignments are cheap, and your car will eat the tires either way. May as well point the wheels in the right direction.
Alignment-related suspension and steering repairs (tie rods, ball joints, control arms, etc.) are covered by NAPA's nationwide 24-month / 24,000-mile limited warranty on parts and labor. The alignment itself is a calibration service. The warranty applies to any replaced components.
